Less is more, and playing through the pain
I took the last week off from CrossFit. I was working out at home doing deadlift sets and hurt my left knee. Ouch. So I figured I would rest it a week.
I went back to CrossFit tonight. I started with a set of three repetitions of bench press at 225 lbs. I new personal record! Wow, at my age that is very rare! So the next workout was, damn it, deadlift sets. This again?
Sure enough, my left knee started hurting right away. But I just did it anyway and got two sets of eight at 315 lbs! Another personal best! Even the big monster guys were impressed!
