How not to practice law

March 25, 2014

Imagine you are in court on your own case and the lawyer you hired loses his mind and his temper in front of the judge. Now imagine if things get so extreme your lawyer is thrown in jail.
Well, imagine no longer: here is “Judge” Joe Brown, formerly of daytime television, being thrown into jail in Memphis, Tennessee for amazingly disrespectful behavior towards a very patient and tolerant judge. I have no idea how this judicial officer kept his temper. I would have come unglued for less. When Joe Brown throws a ten dollar bill at the judge, that pretty much says it all. Wow.
What does he think that accomplished? Besides make him a guest of the county jail, angering a judicial officer for life, and getting himself in trouble with the State Bar? What, indeed?
