The hit of the neighborhood
The boys and Sammy and I started playing touch rugby at the park. Pretty soon all the boys at the park joined us, one by one. At the end we had at least a dozen boys playing. We used a big playing field and had a lot of fun. Having so many kids join us one by one gave me a lot of opportunities to stop the action and explain the rules, thereby catching my breath. I don’t know how the real seven man teams can possibly develop the kind of stamina necessary to play a full seven minute side. It must make them astronomically fit. I’m not in horrible shape, and it is really rough even at our slower pace.
