The tragedy of the Ukraine

November 27, 2013

Pity the poor Ukraine. Really. They have spent their entire history basically being kicked around like a football between the major powers that surround them, most critically, as the commentator in this article says, those in Warsaw, Istanbul and Moscow. And this latest development of being forced to kneel to Mother Russia under immense pressure is just humiliating. And very sad. I hope someday Ukraine can truly be free and independent.

We Americans take that kind of stuff for granted. What if we were some weak nation constantly getting bossed around by Canada, Mexico and Cuba? Just imagine….
