My first violin practice

November 9, 2012

I read enough instructional material to feel comfortable trying out the violin. I returned the rental and used the cheap one Joseph had since he was not interested. It sounds just fine. I worked on getting single notes and using long bow strokes on the open strings. Hey, Itzhak Perlman had to start someplace. It was fun. The babies stared in awe. Cyrus tried to sing the same notes. Laila reached out for the bow and said, “Hey! That!” I feel confident that with time, effort, and determination I can become a passable country fiddler.

You got started on your own. Very impressive.
    Good luck, Mom
